Certificates of honour
The Certificate of Honour is the Association's highest award and can only be given to members in recognition of outstanding achievement in, or service to, the sport of cycling. Certificates of Honour have been awarded to the following:
- 1985 The Late Jimmy Lane (Musselburgh RCC)
for lifetime service in organising cycling and in timekeeping and coaching. - 1986 Eddie Alexander (City of Edinburgh RC)
for his sprint bronze medal in the 1986 Commonwealth Games. 1988 Eddie Alexander (City of Edinburgh RC) for his 4th place in the 1988 Olympic Games Sprint in Seoul. - 1990 Jocky Allan (Velo Sportiv)
who pioneered road racing in Scotland and was Team Manager and coach to many of Scotland's champions. - 1995 Jamie Johnston (Dunedin CC)
for 30 years continuous office to the Association. - 1996 Ray Harris (Dunedin CC)
for services in coaching and the development of womens cycle racing within the Association. - 1997 Alan Nisbet (City of Edinburgh RC)
for services to Scottish track racing and the Association. - 1999 Chris Hoy (City of Edinburgh RC)
for his silver medal in the 1999 World Olympic Sprint Championship. - 1999 Craig Maclean (City of Edinburgh RC)
for his silver medal in the 1999 World Olympic Sprint Championship. - 2000 Chris Hoy (City of Edinburgh RC)
for his Olympic Sprint silver medal in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. - 2000 Craig Maclean (City of Edinburgh RC)
for his Olympic Sprint silver medal in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. - 2001 David Urquhart (Musselburgh RCC)
for his services to cycling as a coach and Association official. - 2005 Brian Annable (City of Edinburgh RC)
for services as ESCA Secretary and Records Secretary for more than 20 years - 2006 David Menzies (Edinburgh Racers)
for services to Scottish Cycling as Treasurer, Promoter, Team Manager, and Commissaire
